Manitoba IncentivesManitoba Film and Video Production Tax Credit
This tax credit, administered by Manitoba Film and Sound Recording Development Corporation, is equal to 45% of approved Manitoba labour expenditures. In addition, producers may qualify for a 5% frequent filming bonus, and/or a 5% rural and northern incentive.
Eligibility
- The production company must be federally or provincially incorporated in Canada.
- The production company must have a permanent establishment in Manitoba.
- 25% of salaries must be paid to eligible employees for work performed in Manitoba.
- There are no Manitoba or Canadian content requirements.
- Copyright ownership is not required.
